Domain Engineer

AgileLayer seeks senior Domain Engineers to work with its Global 1000 clients in the following areas: Identification and definition of key Business Capability and Information domains and models. Work with Enterprise and Business Architecture groups and Business Analysts on end-to-end Business Capability-to-Service-to-Assets traceability, and early-stage program/project analysis. Identify Capability and Service reuse opportunities early on in the life-cycle. Act as internal subject matter expert on Information, Capability and Service domains. Support the Business Analysis function in business process domains definition and business process modeling activities. Map Business Services opportunities to business capabilities, projects and roadmaps. Run regular meetings with services architects to discuss and review services definitions. Review Service-related artifacts for accuracy and completeness. Create Business Architecture models, such as: Business Process Domain models, Business Capability Domain Models, Information Domain models, and Services blueprints for select Domains. Define Service product lines (across architecture styles and domains) and Service product line reference architectures. Participate in the review of business operating models. Help with the high-level design of key business service and review service designs. Mentor architecture and analyst staff. Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure effective integration with Enterprise Architectures.

Deliverables Include: Business Capabilities Model, Business Capabilities Roadmap, Business Services Blueprint, Capability and Service Product Lines Definition and Reference Architectures.

Experience and Skills Required: 10+ years of Business and Application Architecture experience. Strong understanding of Business Capability and Service Oriented Architectures. Experience with UML, business use case definition, and OOAD are pre-requisites. Strong Analytic and Process engineering skills. Experience creating conceptual/semantic data models. Experience creating process models using notations such as BPMN. Experience running process and semantic modeling work group sessions. Experience with XML and XML Schema. Brings a high-degree of business and information domain credibility to the Role. Flexible and versatile - capable of performing multiple roles. Strong listening and communication skills.
