Domain Engineer
AgileLayer seeks senior Domain Engineers to work with its Global 1000 clients in the following areas: Identification and definition of key Capability and Information domains. Work with Enterprise Architecture group and Business Analysts on end-to-end Service-to-IT Assets traceability, and early-stage project analysis. Identify Service reuse opportunities early on in the life-cycle. Act as internal subject matter expert on Information domains and business services. Support the Business Analysis function in business process domains definition and business process modeling activities. Map services opportunities to projects and timelines. Run regular meetings with services architects to discuss and review services definitions. Review Service-related artifacts for accuracy and completeness. Create Business Architecture models, such as: Business Process Domain models, Business Capability Domain Models, Information Domain models, and Services blueprints for select Domains. Define Service product lines (across architecture styles and domains) and Service product line reference architectures. Participate in the review of business models. Help with the high-level design of key services. Review service designs. Mentor technical and analyst staff. Work with Enterprise Architects to ensure effective integration with Enterprise Architectures.
Deliverables Include: Services Blueprint, Services Build Plan, Service Package Definition, Service Product Lines Definition, and Service Product Line Reference Architectures. Other Contributions include: Service Use Case Specifications and Service XML Interface Specifications.
Experience and Skills Required: 8+ years of Application Architecture experience, including - N-tier and mainframe experience. Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). Strong software engineering background (RUP, XP, agile). Experience with the UML, use cases definition, OOAD, database design is a pre-requisite. Strong Analytic and Process engineering skills. Experience creating conceptual/semantic data models. Experience creating process models using notations such as BPMN. Experience running process and semantic modeling sessions. Experience with Web Services, XML, XML Schema, and REST technologies. Brings a high-degree of business and information domain credibility to the Role. Flexible and versatile - capable of performing multiple roles. Strong listening and communication skills.
Senior SOA Architect
AgileLayer seeks senior SOA architects to work with its Global 1000 clients in the areas of: service-oriented architecture definition, SOA best practices, SDLC extensions, governance modeling, service definition and design, oversight of implementation projects, technical workshop delivery, and leading technical strategy and planning initiatives.
Experience Required: 15+ years of software architecture and development experience in a client-facing role. The successful candidate must have experience in: all major development methodologies, programming on multiple platforms, and architecture and design of service-oriented solutions. The candidate must have experience in multiple customer-facing roles and have a track record of delivering engagements with a high degree of client satisfaction.
Skills Required: The candidate must be able to conceptualize, architect, design and implement software solutions using proven design methodologies. The candidate must be experienced in service-oriented architecture design including J2EE and/or .NET based services. Thorough understanding of and direct experience with Web services standards, including SOAP, XML schema, WSDL, WS-Security, BPEL, etc. is required. The candidate should have experience with enterprise application integration and middleware implementation, including JMS-based architectures. Working knowledge of Internet and Web services security and firewalls is desired. Effective communication skills are critical, as the positions require working collaboratively with clients' senior technical staff as well as structuring and delivering workshops and training sessions.
